CUSTOM WORK

We love working with clients one on one to create a special piece.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a special gift for someone, or simply would like to treat yourself, we are happy to design a piece for you based on our design style.  We make our jewelry using a variety of metalworking techniques, such as lost wax casting, soldering, wire wrapping.  Custom work is also re-sizing a ring, changing a necklace or a bracelet length.  Please review our process described below.

Please note that we do not do jewelry repairs, re-work customers' own jewelry pieces, or re-set stones.

TIMELINE

Most custom project take four weeks to three months from concept to completion.  

CONSULTATION

Please contact us at info@joannamorgandesigns.com to schedule an initial appointment.  It can take place in person, via phone, or Skype.  It is important for us to understand your vision, materials you'd like us to work in, and to determine if we are the right studio for you.  After the initial discussion we will be able to determine if the kind of design you're looking for is technically possible, the timeframe you require, and price estimate.  

ESTIMATES

Our custom design prices start at $500, with additional fees for materials etc.  We are usually able to give you a verbal estimate at the initial consultation, with a formal estimate in writing about a week after.  Written estimates may very from verbal, and are valid up to 14 days.  After that a new written estimate may need to be required; that is due to changes in materials, labor pricing, and other factors.

We can prepare a sketch/rendering to show you what the final piece will look like.  Please keep in mind that the finished piece may not look exactly like the rendering.  A sketch is a useful visual tool for us and you as a starting point, and our guarantee is that the piece will match the final design you approved including the dimensions, type of stone(s) and metals (gold or silver). However please note that all handmade jewelry will differ slightly due to the nature of the craft and may include minor variations in the overall size of the piece(s).  

CONTRACT AND WORK COMPLETION

After we agree on the final estimate, and you approve the design rendering, all parties are given a contract to be signed, and a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.  At this point we go ahead with the work on your order.  As the work progresses we are happy to give you updates, however no changes can be made to the design.  When the piece is ready, we request the remaining payment.
You custom jewelry piece will be delivered to you as specified in the contract - in person, or via a preferred carrier.  
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
No returns, exchanges or credits will be given on custom made jewelry as all pieces, materials and stones are made to order. We strive to ensure that every customer is completely satisfied and that all your expectations are met.
